Chinese video-sharing social networking platform Tik Tok is among other 59 apps that are in their 11th hour in India after the government finally decided to ban their operations in the country.
A part of the statement from the Indian government noted that the apps banned are prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security of state and public order.
”The decision has been made to safeguard the interests of crores of Indian mobile and internet users. This decision is a targeted move to ensure safety and sovereignty of Indian cyberspace.” the government of India further noted.
