No Musician In Uganda is Close To Me When It Comes to Talent – A Pass

Alexander Bagonza, better known by his stage name A Pass has made a bold claim that no musician in Uganda is close to out beating his talent. He however admits that Uganda has lots of talent but not just enough to reach his level.

He made these claims yesterday evening while appearing on NTV The Beat to premier his new song, “Nkwagala” which translates to Loving in English. He continued to say that Ugandan musicians don’t “feel” music. In his opinion he said they sing just for the sake of singing and because they have to feed their families.

He added that they don’t put in the work like he does. “I’m always in studio everyday because I want to be the best recording artist, ” he said. When asked when he would finally have a concert, he said he will when he is ready.

Bagonza called out musicians that call him out for not putting up a show because he is rich. He was very bitter about this and even called them fake saying they smile in his face and then tarnish his name. When asked about the awarding system in Uganda he said awards don’t determine how good he is and said he is now looking at the Grammys.

It was a very funny interview seeing how the hosts were left speechless after some of the comments he made and most of the replies.
