The management of Namirembe Hillside High School has announced that the school facility is now ready to open.
In July this year, students of Namirembe Hillside High School in Kitetika, Gayaza, were left in tears after a fire burnt a boys’ dormitory, destroying property worth millions of shillings. The school was then forced to close in a bid to get things back into order.
“We are expecting our dear candidates, S.4 and S.6 Students to report back to school on Monday 02 September 2019. Other classes, S.1, S.2, S.3 and S.5 will report on Monday 09 September 2019,” read part of the statement released by the school management.
The management also sent a vote of thanks to all the people who stood with them during the trying time.
It also said that action was being taken to photocopy notes for the students whose books perished in the fire.
