The government of Uganda plans to recognize the efforts of the best primary school teachers across the country. It will be rewarding the best 50 teachers across the country with the top 3 teachers walking away with land titles.
While addressing the media, the state minister for primary education, Rosemary Sseninde said that the nomination process for the best teachers has already begun at the district level.
She said that this is one of the ways government is demonstrating its gratitude to the services that Uganda primary school teachers are providing to the nation.
The prizes will be given out in a ceremony as Uganda joins the rest of the world to mark the international teachers’ day on 5th October.
